Strelitzia nicolai, commonly known as the giant white bird of paradise, is a large evergreen tropical plant native to the coastal forests of South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. Seeds possess a tough, hard seed coat that requires pre-treatment to germinate successfully. With patience and proper treatment, germination typically occurs between 1-6 months, though it can extend to 6 months or longer.
