Pinus kesiya, commonly known as Khasi Pine or Benguet Pine, is a fast-growing evergreen coniferous tree native to Southeast Asia. This species exhibits high seed viability with approximately 95% germination rate occurring within 8-20 days under suitable conditions. Seeds tolerate a wide temperature range (15-30°C) and do not require scarification, making this species relatively easy to propagate.

Sow seeds 1/8 inch (3mm) deep in nursery beds or containers. Tamp soil firmly and apply mulch to the seed bed to maintain consistent moisture. Seedlings are ready for transplanting after 4-6 months at heights of 20-30 cm. Provide bright light but avoid intense direct sun for young seedlings.
