Pachypodium saundersii, commonly known as Kudu Lily, is a succulent shrub endemic to southern Africa with distinctive bottle-shaped trunks and white flowers flushed with pink. Seeds germinate readily within 5-6 weeks when provided with warm, moist conditions at temperatures between 27-35°C. This species is among the easiest and fastest-growing Pachypodium species.

Remove silky hair parachutes from seeds before sowing. Sow seeds approximately 5mm deep in light, sandy substrate. Keep medium moist (not waterlogged) and maintain temperatures of 27-35°C for rapid germination. Monitor daily and provide bright, indirect light—avoid direct sunlight during germination. Remove transparent cover once germination begins. Seeds not germinated after 6 weeks should be considered non-viable. Wait at least 1 year before transplanting seedlings into individual pots. Ensure excellent drainage in all growing containers. Seedlings require careful handling and gradual acclimation before permanent transplanting.
