Tips
Soak seeds in warm water (30°C/86°F) for 24 hours before sowing to improve germination rates. Sow seeds 5mm deep in sterile, sandy, well-draining medium. Keep substrate consistently moist but not waterlogged and maintain temperatures between 27-35°C (81-95°F) for rapid germination. After germination begins, gradually remove the transparent cover to acclimate seedlings. Provide bright indirect light (no direct sunlight) for the first 1-2 months; after 1 month of germination, seedlings can tolerate full direct sunlight. Seeds lose viability quickly, so use fresh seed for best results. Do not allow seedlings to sit in cold, damp conditions as they are prone to rot. Ensure excellent ventilation to prevent fungal issues. Maintain seedlings at moderate humidity levels and transplant to individual containers once they reach 1 inch (2.5cm) height with 2-3 true leaves.
