Pachycormus discolor, the Baja Elephant Tree, is a caudiciform succulent endemic to Baja California. It is a winter-growing species that prefers cool temperatures and excellent drainage.

Tips
Winter grower - seeds germinate best in cooler months. Keep substrate slightly moist but well-drained during germination. Provide bright light (strong sun or artificial light) from the start. Young seedlings do not have dormancy in first year, so do not deprive of water initially. Very slow growing species. Avoid overwatering and ensure fungal control in confined seed trays. Substrate should contain approximately 50% rock or gritty material.
