Press seeds gently into soil surface with a thin soil layer (maximum 10mm) as seeds require light for germination. Seeds are positively photoblastic. Maintain consistent moisture without waterlogging. Use heat mats or warm indoor locations (20-25°C) for faster germination during cooler months. Remove plastic cover immediately after sprouting appears. Gradually acclimate seedlings from shade to morning sunlight. Seedlings grow slowly in first year (5-30cm) but accelerate after that. Young seedlings are vulnerable to cold; protect from temperatures below -1°C. Transplant seedlings to well-drained, humus-rich soil after 4-6 weeks.
