Eucalyptus viminalis, commonly known as Manna Gum, Ribbon Gum or White Gum, is a hardier species native to south-eastern Australia. This species does not require cold stratification and germinates readily under warm, bright conditions with light. Seeds need constant moisture and benefit from high humidity during the germination period.

Tips
Press seeds firmly onto moist seed-raising mix surface - do not bury. Keep substrate moist but not waterlogged by misting. Provide bright light but protect from direct sunlight during germination. Once seedlings emerge, remove humidity dome and ensure excellent air circulation to prevent damping off. Maintain warm temperatures (17-23°C / 65-75°F) throughout germination. Transplant seedlings to larger containers once they develop 3-4 true leaves. Do not use bottom heat - it may hinder germination.
