Tips
Maintain warm soil temperature (22-30°C / 72-86°F) throughout germination - a heat mat may be necessary. Cover seeds thinly with sand or perlite mixture and keep consistently moist but not waterlogged. Provide bright, indirect light once seedlings emerge. Remove glass or plastic covering gradually after sprouting to acclimate seedlings. Transplant to larger containers when seedlings have developed at least two true leaves. Keep seedlings warm and well-lit. Maintain in nursery conditions for 8-12 weeks before transplanting to final position. Water regularly during first year to establish strong root system.
